3 Easy Stretches To Eliminate Low Back Pain

How many of you have had to sit or stand for long periods of time? Did your low back ache so bad you would’ve paid someone to be able to change positions? Having to power through those situations especially when your job or family depends on it can be frustrating! Besides making sure your spine is in the proper alignment, restoring muscle balance is another component to back health that you should consider.

When you have to stay in one position for long periods of time, certain muscles are constantly in a shortened position and can become chronically tight. They can’t function as optimally. On the other side, other muscles are constantly in a lengthened position and can lose their strength, limiting their ability to support you.

One component of low back pain can be due to this muscular imbalance. The abdominal muscles and gluts become weak whereas the hip flexors, spinal erectors, and hamstrings become tight. Implementing core strengthening exercises and low back stretches can be helpful in eliminating low back pain. Check out the videos below for three simple stretches to get you started!
